Her Story
From art and design to spiritual care and ceremony.

Becky's first language is creativity. She trained as a designer at Toronto Metropolitan University, then deepened that work with a diploma from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. For years she ran her own art business, led art groups, and worked with galleries in various capacities. Bringing people together through colour, line, and shape was the through-line of her early career.
Then the work began to shift. Becky moved into spiritual care, completing a Master of Arts in Theology, Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care at Wilfrid Laurier University and pursuing certification through the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care. She now serves as a Chaplain visiting palliative clients in her community, sitting with people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Wedding officiating, for Becky, is the same work in a different setting. "I get excited to share in couples' lives by creating unique wedding ceremonies that fully represent both people," she says. "Bringing people together, sharing in people's lives in many capacities, is very important to me."
Becky's Marriage Act registration came through on November 15, 2024, and she began taking her own ceremonies in 2026 as Randy Stratton Wedding Officiants expanded into Southwestern Ontario. She brings her pastoral licence with Be In Christ Church of Canada, her chaplaincy training, and her artist's eye for the small details that make a ceremony feel like the couple, not a template. She is based in Stratford with her husband Jamie Teeple. Together they are building a blended family with Jamie's two boys, Becky's two girls, and a beloved family dog named Bailey.
What she brings to weddings is rare. Not many officiants combine pastoral training, hospice chaplaincy, an art-therapy diploma, and a designer's instinct for storytelling. Becky brings all of them to every ceremony she writes.
