After setting your
wedding goals and establishing your budget, venue considerations, guest list,
etc., you need to find a wedding officiant. In the Province of Ontario, you
require a Licensed Officiant. This includes a
Minister, Justice of The Peace or Licensed Pastor. When choosing your Wedding
Officiant, make sure the person “lines up” with your goals and is on the “same
page” as far as what you are looking for in your ceremony objectives. (religious/non-religious,

- Legal
knowledge: Ensure that the officiant is authorized to
perform marriages in Ontario and understands their legal responsibilities.
